Smithson by marriage. my husband Everett is decendent of the Besmer Alabama Smithsons who`s father moved to Mn in the 1940s. We have a band, (the Everett Smithson Band)blues, zydeco, Americana

I thought I had signed in a few years ago, but evidently it didn't 'take.' Glad to see STEVE's fine work and the interest of all GUESTs. I am finishing up a History Book of the Virginia USA Smithsons from 1700 to about 1900.

One of the Canadian Smithsons checking in. My grandfather moved here from Birmingham, England at an early age!
Our last name is fairly uncommon - given the world's population - but it's still facinating to see so many of us checking in from all walks of life at one spot!
