I'm from the Smithson side from Indiana..so glad to find this site and see who's out there

I am looking for info on Christopher Smithson, he had a son, George Smithson who was married to Dorothy Calvert, they had a son, Thomas Smithson, born 1655 in Moulton, Yorkshire, England.

I'm originally from Georgia U.S.A. My father's name is Neil Boyd Smithson. His father's name is James Walter Smithson. His father's name is Macinis Smithson, but as far as Smithson's go that is as far as I can go. My grandfather told me that we are from the brother of James Walter Smithson that donated his name and wealth to the smithsonian institute, but I need some help.
